I recently found this old estate in Herfølge where i live, I had walked past it lots of times and wondered if it really were abandoned, and here is what I found. It really is an interesting place that I need to go back to, so this album may be updated in the future.
Frederick’s Church has the largest church dome in Scandinavia with a span of 31m, though there are three larger domes elsewhere in Europe. The dome rests on 12 columns. The inspiration was probably St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. The foundation stone was set by king Frederick V on October 31, 1749, but the construction was slowed by budget cuts and the death of Eigtved in 1754.
A series of shots of an old abandoned caravan I found in the woods nearby. I’ have always thought that abandoned places and things is interesting to photograph, because they always leave some sort of story to tell, or you can at least make up your own.
A small selection of shots from a trip to Sri Lanka in 2009. Sri Lanka is just a beautiful place with a nice a friendly population, but I did feel the effects of the tsunami that hit in 2004.
A small selection of images from Greenland adventure-race 2009. And I can only say that if you love nature, and beautiful landscapes you can only fall in love the Greenland. And to all the adventure-racers out there, go visit the website http://www.gar.gl/ and sign up to one of the best races you’ll ever experience.
I always found abandoned places fascinating, the way we just leave things when our would is going south, or our business go’s under, somehow the decay of all that was once build and now falling apart really puts our lives in perspective.
A cold day in the woods with a dear friend of mine, that willingly participated in a little photo shoot, to enhance my skills as a portrait photographer. It was a great day with just the right light and a nice way of spending a little time together.
A little collection of landscape shots shot over the last 4 years. I’v always been captivated be beautiful landscapes but i just think they are so hard to shoot, so I wouldn’t call this me strong side.
In the summer 2011 I did a favor for one of my friends, she asked me to shoot some some photos at the anual summerparty at her kids kindergaten. They had everyting from ponyriding to a cake competition, and I can only say it was a fun but also very hectic day.
